Filming the BBC period drama Cranford in Lacock in June 2009. Celia Imrie is entering the horse-drawn carriage in Church Street.
Onlookers were given restricted opportunity to shoot from a distance. However I managed some effective shots. A professional with a DSLR turned to me after one shot to remark on my quiet shutter. "Oh, it's a Leica!". To me it is rather noisier than my old M3, but the M8 does have a faster top speed of 1/8000 second. Noentheless, Leicas are generally quieter and less obtrusive. ADA E1283
